One of my favorite things to do for parties are favors! I think it just gives it that final fun afterthought when they are going out the door!
My favorite place to do favors for years has been this mother/daughter run business now located in North Fort Worth area! It’s Sweet Creations Homemade Chocolate.
I have seen them so many times throughout the years, I think they know what I am going to do before I even call them to tell them I have a new party! And Lorraine and her daughter (the owners) are such nice ladies! I just can’t help but want to go back each time! Plus there prices are so reasonable! AND MOST OF ALL the chocolate is SOOOO yummy! And I am not a big chocolate person.
They can do really anything you think of! I have done personalized little clocks, bunnies, cowboy boots, hats, crowns…I have been there so many times I am not even sure now! You name it, they got it or can get it. And included they put in little cellophane bags with ribbon of your choice! They are darling!
I was actually at their shop today picking up an order and I saw these adorable turkeys which would be great as favors or even place cards customized with your guest’s name! My pic does not do this justice! They are really detailed.

Here’s the favors I picked up – little pumpkins, cowboy hats and cowboy boots for a western themed thanksgiving party. Again, you cannot see how much detail is on these! They are adorable.

Stop by or call them today! If you are not in DFW area, she maybe could ship on dry ice or something? I would ask! But if are able to stop in – DO! A lot of times they have yummy samples – today they had warm apple cider!
Tell them Charis sent you!

For those crafties out there — what do you think of when you see these items? What would you make out of them?

Since next week is around the corner I thought I would talk about Thanksgiving! It is one of my favorite holidays due to the time and memories I have with family. I want to share some ideas of some things I have shared or worked on and compile in one spot.
I think with any Thanksgiving get together – whether that be just with family or a huge blow out bash – having those special touches to the menu or the decor are a great place to make memories for years to come.
I think no matter what type of Thanksgiving event – a Theme is important. Think about everything Thanksgiving – pumpkins, thankfulness, harvest, food, cornucopia or just do a color theme. I think hayride theme is great idea for Thanksgiving.
I searched a while for Thanksgiving invitations for a Corporate party I was planning and I found the cutest customizable invitations. Great ideas here for any type of event but these turned out so cute!

Once those invites go out – whether just verbal to family/friends or actually sending out invites, it’s time to work on details, details!! I would start of course after the theme is decided – with FOOD! Of course, it is Thanksgiving!!! There are some great sites out there to help with this. I think its special to use recipes that have been passed down for years. My family is currently compiling a cookbook dedicated to my grandmother. (What a great idea of Christmas too for those out you out there!). Include the normal traditions but also don’t be afraid to try something new! I’ll be searching for some great recipes to share with you!
And then finalize everything and set that table! How cute are these name place cards!
Of course from my fav site!

And lastly! Enjoy the time with family in friends and remember what we all are thankful for!!
Happy Thanksgiving!
