I literally made this in less than five mins – just somewhere to put my cards up and show them off for the Christmas season!
To re-create this: All you need is some scrap fabric or ribbon, pinking shears or scissors, thumb tacks and straight pins to change up your cards. If you are using fabric cut into long strips using pinking shears. Mine I cut 2-3 inches wide and 48 inches long.
Make a bow for the top – any way you like and attach using a thump tack! I added a piece of holly for extra detail.
Attach cards by using straight pins – a voila! a handy dandy easy smeesy Christmas card holder!
TIP: Be sure to attach to a wall or door high enough so little hands cannot pull it down or get to the straight pins!

Thanksgiving is over (I however have 2 Thanksgiving parties still) now we get to move on to CHRISTMAS! And today is known as black Friday! Lots of shopping deals! And it’s now time to get those Christmas decor items out! Why not make a party or get-together out of either of those things? Have a black Friday scavenger hunt to see who can get the best deals OR a Christmas decorating party with family and friends! You could even make Christmas ornaments! How fun!
Here’s a recipe to make some!
Baked Christmas Ornaments
These decorated are not edible, so take care to keep them out of reach of smaller children.
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1/2 cup salt
3/4 cup water
Preparation:
Mix until moistened; knead well. Roll the dough, 1/2 portion at a time, about 1/8-inch thick. Cut with cookie cutters, making small punched holes in each for string or other type of hanger. Bake on foil lined baking sheets at 250° for 2 hours. Cool thoroughly.
Paint with water colors then shellac and let dry, or coat with Elmer’s Glue and sprinkle with glitter while still wet. These ornaments, decorated are not edible, so take care to keep them out of reach of smaller children.
